Happy Holidays – and ARDC’s Winter Break

ARDC will close for the year on Saturday, December 20, 2025, and we’ll return on Monday, January 5, 2026. Grant applications can still be submitted through our website during the break, and we’ll begin reviewing them in early February.

Wishing you and yours a joyful holiday season – see you in 2026!

Thank You to Our Volunteers!

Our volunteers play a key role in helping ARDC carry out our mission. Whether they’re reviewing grant proposals, reading final reports, supporting 44Net users, or sharing technical expertise, their contributions make a real difference.

From all of us at ARDC, we’re grateful for your time, insights, and commitment. Thank you for being such an important part of the work we do.

Upcoming Community Deadlines and Notices

  • Next Grant Application Deadline: The next deadline for submitting a grant application is February 1, 2026. Applications received after this date will be reviewed in April 2026. If you’re planning to apply, be sure to check out our Priority Areas for Funding, which highlight the types of projects that strongly align with our mission.

2024 Audited 990-PF (Tax Return) & Financial Statements

Transparency is one of our core values at ARDC. Thus it’s important to us that, every year, we take some time to walk through our audited financials, and to do our best to make sure they are understandable by everyone – including people who do not spend their days analyzing 990s.

With this in mind, we are pleased to share the results of our 2024 audit, conducted by Redwitz. You can now find our 2024 audited 990-PF (tax return) and financial statements at https://www.ardc.net/about/legal/ardc-finances/.

What ARDC Has Been Up To

RSGB 2025 Convention

The Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) 2025 Convention took place October 10 - 12 in Milton Keynes, UK. Grants Advisory Committee (GAC) member Steve Bunting M0BPQ attended and presented An Overview of ARDC’s Programs: Grants and 44Net. The audience, consisting of about 30 people, had a strong interest in our grants program and had many questions about the application process– so many, in fact, that Steve spent nearly an hour afterward continuing the conversation in the hallway. The RSGB 2025 Convention was a great opportunity to share our work on another international stage this year, and we look forward to our work abroad in 2026!

AMSAT Space Symposium

GAC member Jim White WD0E attended the 43rd Annual AMSAT Space Symposium & Annual General Meeting, held October 16 - 19 in Phoenix, AZ. He presented a talk titled ARDC and Satellites, available on the AMSAT YouTube channel (starting around the 3h 30m mark): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAC9_Uh2ys4. Reflecting on the event, Jim states, “I was very impressed by the youth and education efforts AMSAT is leading or supporting, including ARISS school contacts and the CubeSat Simulator kits. Volunteers are working with every age group from very young through college and beyond to stimulate interest in STEM, space, and amateur radio. AMSAT is planning some ambitious LEO and higher orbit satellites that will provide exciting and fun space platforms.” All in all, the symposium offered a valuable opportunity to share updates about ARDC and connect with satellite-focused experimenters and educators.
