The Butler County Amateur FM Association (BCAFMA) is a club north of Pittsburgh that has been part of the region’s amateur radio community since 1976. Their emphasis is on welcoming new hams and students.

This project will replace the club’s 50-year-old duplexer with a new six-cavity model. The upgrade will make it possible to use the power amplifier and receive preamp again, restoring wide-area coverage for the Pittsburgh North and Butler County region. Improved coverage will also help handheld users reliably reach the repeater, making it easier for newcomers to get on the air.
