The Half Moon Bay Amateur Radio Club is a volunteer group that maintains open repeaters, trains new operators, and provides emergency communication across the Coastside. The club also supports local Community Emergency Response Teams, or CERT, which are neighborhood volunteers trained to help first responders during disasters.

The project will build a small communications trailer that can operate when normal systems fail. It will house two operator positions, portable antennas, and solar power so it can support emergency hubs, shelters, remote areas, and community events. The trailer will strengthen local readiness and make the club’s capabilities easier to deploy.
