The Central Kansas Amateur Radio Club serves communities across central Kansas through training, outreach, and volunteer-led technical activities. The group supports local operators and collaborates with educators and community partners. It also provides communications support for public events and emergencies while promoting hands-on learning in rural areas.

With the awarded funding, the club is building and outfitting its new project, FieldLab, as a fully functional mobile STEM and amateur radio lab. The project will deliver hands-on electronics, satellite, and radio programming directly to schools and communities, expanding access to technical education and establishing a reliable, reusable outreach platform for future use.
