Teachers in Space, Inc. is expanding its CubeSat flight experiment program for K-12 STEM teachers in New Mexico, New York, and Washington State. The program helps teachers bring space science, amateur radio, and digital communications into the classroom.

With this grant, 90 teachers will receive training, classroom kits, and support to help students build CubeSat experiments. Students will work with Arduino microcontrollers, sensors, and software defined radio equipment. The project culminates with student developed CubeSat experiments being launched on stratospheric flights to collect data and learn how amateur radio is used in aerospace.
