The Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay (EVCNB) was formed in 2008 to organize the North Tillamook County communities of Manzanita, Nehalem, Wheeler, and surrounding unincorporated areas to be as self sufficient as possible after a major disaster.

With this grant the Emergency Volunteer Corps of Nehalem Bay will improve Emergency Communications infrastructure and training in Tillamook County, Oregon and surrounding communities. They will make a few key infrastructure improvements:

1. A new UHF repeater with VHF linking capacity on Neahkahnie Mountain
2. Solar powered Digital GoBoxes to be distributed within Tillamook County
3. Equipment to add digital communications capability to 4 regional Operations Centers
