The North Idaho Repeater Group coordinates the efforts of six different repeater owners (clubs and individuals) to form one large linked repeater system in Northern Idaho. These sites are all in the northern part of Idaho. The sites start near Bonner’s Ferry Idaho and continue south to almost Lewiston. Two additional sites will likely be linked into the system soon. In addition to providing the linking infrastructure, the North Idaho Repeater Group provides some equipment and labor to the organizations to keep the repeaters operating.
This grant will allow the group to upgrade the VHF & UHF antenna systems at five of the repeater sites in 2022. Part of this effort includes repairing the existing tower on Hoodoo Mountain and replacing a couple of controllers.
