The Pleasant Valley Telecommunications Advisory Council (PVTAC) supports amateur radio communications across Southern California. They maintain infrastructure used for both amateur operations and emergency communications.

With a grant from ARDC, PVTAC is expanding its 10 GHz microwave network to connect mountaintop radio sites and improve communications throughout Ventura County, while also interconnecting with neighboring Los Angeles and Santa Barbara counties. The project will add solar power upgrades, introduce technologies like ROIP and fire watch cameras, and support technologies such as DMR, AllStar, HDTV, and other digital modes.
