Grace Lutheran School in River Forest, Illinois, has been part of the community since 1899. It offers strong academics and builds character for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

With support from this grant, Grace Lutheran will expand its amateur radio program by taking students outdoors for Parks on the Air and Summits on the Air activities. Students will hike, set up radio gear in local parks and make contacts with people across the country. Along the way, they’ll learn about amateur radio, explore nature, and work toward earning their radio license.
