The Club Radio Amateur du Sud-Ouest Inc. (CRASOI) is a well-established amateur radio organization based in Ville Mercier, Quebec. It is recognized by local municipalities as an important part of regional emergency communications planning. CRASOI has been active in digital communications since the 1970s. The club has been involved in digital communications since the 1970s, at one point even running a radio BBS over UHF using a Commodore PET, demonstrating that they are no strangers to innovation in amateur radio.

CRASOI will be constructing a satellite ground station on the roof of their radio room facility. This station will support satellite communications for members, help new operators gain hands-on experience, and serve as a tool for community outreach through open house events and demonstrations. The project is fiscally sponsored by Radio Amateur du-of Québec.
