The work includes replacing worn safety limit switches, reinforcing structural supports, repainting exposed surfaces, and installing air conditioning and battery backup systems to keep equipment stable during continuous operation.

These upgrades will return the telescope to reliable operation and allow it to handle a wider range of radio astronomy and communication tasks. Improved remote access and added frequency coverage will support demonstrations, youth activities, and hands-on amateur radio work.
